A very nice Ted Godfrey Classic Model fly reel, 2 3/4″ diameter and set up for RHW. I believe this is a model 274 from Ted’s classic series. The reel weighs 5.4 ounces on my scale. The reel appears mint and unfished. Nickel silver counterbalance, rims, pillars, drag plate and screws. Aluminum foot and handle arm. Black sideplates, perforated on the winding plate. The spool is also ventilated on the winding side. Capacity for a DT4 with 25 yards of backing. The Classic features a dependable click and pawl tension system which is manipulated via a five position drag adjuster on the faceplate. The reel comes in a terrific Arne Mason leather case with Ted’s logo mark stamped into the top. A very nice little bench-made trout reel here.
