With a length of just over 1″ and a solid hook, the Tak’s Mini Minnow is the right choice when predators are feasting on tiny baitfish. It bearsa close resemblance to the gambusia (mosquitofish) found in freshwater all over Florida. If you fish the St. Johns River for American shad, this is a good fly to have on hand when the water drops and gambusia are forced off of the floodplain and into themain river channel.
