The subtlety and stealth of Sliders makes them a great option when fish shy away from more aggressive topwater flies. They slide below the surface on the strip, then rise to the top during the pause, duplicating the actions of a swimming frog. They can also be steadily stripped to remain below the surface or skated and swung against the current. Versatile and effective, Sliders sometimes don’t get the respect they deserve.
