Originated byRoss A. Merigold, from California who loved and fished the Madison River in Montana. Suggests an emerging midge. It can be used as an emerger, nymph. Excellent for pocket water. A confidencefly for many an angler. A variation with a slim brown thread body is called the $3 Dip which is popular on the Madison River.
