Description
A nice Saracione Classic American (SCA) fly reel, 3 1/4″ diameter and set up for RHW. The reel weighs 7.3 ounces with a spool width of 1 3/16″. Mint condition. This is the adjustable dial version. The drag direction can be switched by retracting a pin on the side plate and rotating until the side plate comes out, making it easy to flip the the drag or swap out the spool. Black anodized side plates with light gold anodized frame and spool. The serpentine crank handle and foot are silver. A rugged and beautifully machined reel. The original owner of this reel told me that it was part of a display set that Joe used very early in his career to show anglers the reels he was building. Comes in a padded suede leather zipper pouch.
