Description

Saddle Hackles are a mainstay of any fly tier’s bench. Our saddle hackles are hand dyed with the upmost care either inhouse or from one of our vendors. Stripped stems are used for shrimp antennae, whole feathers are used for tails, palmered for collars, shrimp legs. You name the fly, there’s probably a saddle for it. We carry two sorts of saddle hackles. Standard and Select. Standard saddle hackles have a length of about 4-5″. Select saddle hackles have a length of 5-7″.

If you’re tying sailfish flies, the select saddle hackles are probably where it’s at for you.
