RIO’s Buttercup is one of the best looking damsel patterns around. Designed with a jig hook and bead to make the fly ride hook point up, there is little issue with launching the Buttercup right into the shore to hit those fish targeting hatching damsels. Tied with a soft marabou tail and lightly weighted eyes, this fly flutters and darts with incredible effect. With olive and tan color options it can represent both a damsel nymph, and a large Callibaetis nymph as well.
