From the mind and vise of Mick Trompen, this unique pattern represents an exausted mouse. On RIO’s Smash Mouse, the body dangles in the water and the head is just keeping it up. As you pull it the body rises up and wiggles enticingly. As you slow or stop the body begins to dangle again. The mono weed guard helps keep weeds off the fly, but also help prevent the body from fouling on the hook while fishing.
