Description
The fly pattern everyone needs to have in their stillwater box. This imitates the most common species of chironomid you see during peak season on most of the interior lakes in BC. Commonly fished static, under an indicator as to control the depth in which you’d like to fish this fly, which is typically near the bottom. Find feeding fish, set it and wait for that sweet little bobber to drop! For a little movement, a real slow figure 8 retrieve or the odd short and fast twitch can make all the difference to stand out from the crowd. Tied with either a maroon, black, brown or red rib, tie one of these on for spring stillwater season for trophy Rainbow trout.
