At a full-size heavy, the Gold Max is RIOs most powerful all-around taper for delivering hard-to handle rigs that get bites in fisheries not centered around long leaders and tiny dries. With the shortest head length in the Gold class, the Max is a purpose-built full-size heavy line for smoothly loading weightier and unwieldy payloads. The short head carries more weight toward the back of the body so anglers can turn over heavier rigs much more efficiently, while the shorter front taper combined with tapered body allows bulky dries to still be delivered with finesse. The short back taper combined with a rear-loaded body makes for incredible roll casting of heavier rigs while also making it easier to mend at distance. For powerful versatility, the rear-loaded Max bridges the gap between both worlds, giving anglers plus-size power to deliver more weight under control while also allowing for presentations decidedly cleaner than overly front-loaded configurations.
