A limited edition “Fairy” reel from the Perfection Fly Reel Co. This reel is an homage to the original introduced by HL Leonard in 1894 to pair with their 37L and 38L rods. 15 of this limited edition were made in Winstead, CT. This one has been lightly used with a few trace cosmetic marks here and there but is in superb shape overall. Raise pillar design with hard rubber sideplates and nickel silver pillars, crank arm, footplate and screws. The spool shaft and bushing are naval bronze. Click and pawl design. In addition to the fairy reel foot, the reel also comes with a standard size foot to enable using the reel on rods with a larger reel seat. Designed to compliment the lightest rods and hold lines in the #1-4 range. It weighs 2.25 ounces. The reel comes in a handsome leather block case and the original box.
