Description
A very nice Otto Zwarg Saguenay Model 300 salmon fly reel in 2/0 size. RHW. 3 3/8″ diameter with a 1 3/8″ spool width and weighing approximately 10.3 ounces. Single action. Serial number O284, made in 1960, the last year that Zwargs were in production. Excellent overall condition with a few minor cosmetic imperfections – a small scratch on one of the sideplates, a tiny bit of tarnish to the frame edge in one spot, and a very small bit of marking to the screw slots. The corner of one foot seems to have been mildly dressed (professionally so, to my eye). A very clean reel for its age, however. The drag is smooth and adjusts nicely throughout the range. The reel comes in a Tourbon leather block case. A nice example of this model.
