Description
An Orvis Battenkill bamboo fly rod, 8′, 2-piece, 2-tip and built for a #7. Serial #38768. The rod weighs 4.3 ounces. Action is on the slow side of medium. Used but good condition overall. The grip is well tanned with a tiny bit of cork erosion in one small area. Three up node pattern, with impregnated, chestnut color oven-tempered cane with resorcinol glue. Brown wraps, carbide stripper, HSS black snake guides. Oxidized step ferrules with good tight fits and the rod is very straight. The grip is 6″ long and tapered to a slim cigar profile. The seat is the standard Orvis down-lock with a pocket cap of clear anodized aluminum and a walnut spacer. The rod packs into a gray cloth bag with an aluminum tube and the Orvis data sticker.
