Description

The Mini Hopper dry fly is an ideal pattern for those grassy edges on meadow streams in summer when the hoppers are just starting to turn up. These little dry flies are tied on a #14 hook, with a bullet head and foam body to ensure maximum buoyancy with minimum size. The Bleached elk wing is an ideal sighter, as it stands out on the waters surface, and the hot orange underbody and legs do the job to ensure the trout see the Mini Hopper.

Offered here as Eugene ties them small, compact, leggy and with a hot as hell underbody, so they really stand our on the water, its a fly that is ideally suited to Australian meadow streams and pocket water creeks all through the hotter months.
