Description
A Marc Aroner graphite fly rod, 8’6″, 2-piece, 1-tip, and built for a #6 or #7 line. Light use with a bit of hand soiling to the grip. Serial #253. The rod weighs 3.0 ounces. Medium action when compared to most modern graphite rods. Spigot ferrules, which provide a slimmer profile and are more expensive than sleeve over ferrules. Nickel silver trim bands with a herringbone knurl at ferrules and keeper. Red silk wraps with blue edges. SRMC carbide stripper and chrome guides. 6″ long western style grip with hidden pocket cap. Handmade black matte anodized up-lock screw-lock (the same as the bamboo rods of the same period, approximately 1990). The walnut spacer is mortised and varnished. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and brushed aluminum tube with brass appointments. This is the first one of these graphite rods of mine that I have seen in many years.
