Joes Stretch Cord is a product that we are proud to present in collaboration with Joe Manzano of Joes Flies. This is the same material Joe uses for the segmented bodies on his Celluloid Shrimp Pattern that has proven to be very popular. Its a stretchable, clear ribbing and body material that has many uses for segmented bodies. Joes Stretch Cord is soft and easy to work with, allowing you to stretch after tying in to reduce the diameter, or tie in with less tension for the full width.

This is the smaller, standard size clear cord. Its approximately 1.5mm or 3/64 in diameter when not stretched. Its ideal for smaller hooks, size #8-#2, making it ideal for Celluloid Shrimps, or other ghost shrimp patterns, as well as for crazy charlies, giant stoneflies and a range of shrimp and prawn patterns. Ideal for creating segmented bodies or for adding a translucent rib a through dubbed body. You can coat the body with a Flexible resin for an added translucent effect to the fly body. A little dubbing, or coloured thread under the cord will show through for dramatic effect.
