Joes Flat Cord Clear

Joes Flat Cord is a product that we are proud to present in collaboration with Joe Manzano of Joes Flies. This is the same material Joe uses for the wing case/carapace on his Celluloid Shrimp Pattern that has proven to be very popular. Its a semi-stiff, clear body material that has many uses for thorax, back and body parts. Joes Flat Cord is stiffer than the Stretch Cord, yet still easy to work with.

This large size clear flat cord is ideal for wing cases on bigger flies, shrimp shell bodies and crustacean segments. At about 2.5mm wide and 1mm thick, it can also be used as a clear weed guard material on larger hooks.
