A nice Jim Hidy bamboo fly rod, 7’3″, 3-piece, 2-tip and built for a #3 line. Serial #5205H3. The rod weighs 3.6 ounces on my scale. Moderate used condition. Semi parabolic action. Blonde cane done in a three up node pattern configuration on the butt and mid and a spiral pattern on the tips. The main wraps are light brown with a black edge at the keeper and black halfway on the ferrule wraps. Carbide stripper and black snakes with a small bit of wear to the inner guides. Very light coat of varnish. The ferrules are truncated swiss style and oxidized gray. No ferrule plugs. The grip is 6 1/8″ long and turned to a modified full wells profile. Oxidized cap and ring reel seat over a curly maple spacer. The rod is straight and the ferrule fits are good. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and a Holland leather case.
