In designing this fly, Jeff Hickman was looking for a pattern that had the profile and movement of other big bugs but without the weight. This fly comes out of the water beautifully, gives a great profile in winter conditions, and just out right catches fish.
The beauty of an unweighted fly is that is can be fished all year round, under light tips, heavy tips, and even on rivers where weighted flies are restricted. That’s why the Fish Taco is a must have!
