Hareline Ultra Chenille is a plush, dense chenille-like material, also known as Vernille. Used as a body material, Ultra Chenille will be smoother and tougher than regular chenille. Hareline Ultra Chenille is commonly used for San Juan worms and as a substitute for regular chenille. And, more commonly in recent years, the standard and micro sizes of Hareline Ultra chenille are proving to be a very popular material for crab legs in patterns like the Alphlexo Crab.
Hareline Ultra Chenille Standard is excellent material for your wet flies. It is much denser than normal chenille. This makes Ultra Chenille easy to wrap on the body. You can create nice, smooth bodies using Ultra Chenille. Try for example nymphs, pupas, streamers, and other wet flies.
