Description
A nice Hardy Wide Drum Perfect fly reel, 3 1/4″ diameter and set up for RHW. Earlier leaded finish model. The reel has seen honest use with cosmetic wear throughout but no major defects that I could find. Somewhere along the way someone scratched their initials into the winding plates, a small set close to the spindle, and then a slightly larger set further toward the edge (the second is a little fainter and almost looks more like light scratching from use). Duplicated Mk II check. Nickel silver rotating lineguard. Smooth brass foot with a few tiny chips in one end, though it is full length and straight. Ebonite handle. Mechanically the reel is sound, with a nice pleasing click. The drag tensioner works well. No pouch. A nice fishable Perfect in a desirable size.
