A Hardy Palakona The Marvel bamboo fly rod, 7’6″, 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #4. The rod weighs 3 ounces on my scale. Good used condition. Very slow full flexing action. Some soiling to the grip and a bit of cracking to the mid ferrule wrap. No problems with varnish. More or less a 3 up node spacing. Wheat-straw color cane. Green main wraps with orange edges. Clear agate stripper, chrome snakes. The step-style ferrules are oxidized and come with aluminum and cork finial style ferrule plugs. The plug for the mid female has lost some of its cork. The slim cigar grip is 4 1/2 long and the band slides up at least 1/2 of that. The seat is all cork with an aluminum ring and pocket cap. The pocket cap is stamped: House of Hardy, England. The rod packs into a green cloth Hardy bag with tie string and an aluminum tube with the Hardy data sticker still 99% intact.
