The Averon’s lightweight yet durable design has been carefully crafted to blend performance, fishability and long term reliability into a stylish large arbour design. The reels benefit from open or closed frame designs, depending on size. Open frame where weight reduction and rapid spool changes are essential and a closed frame is employed on the 5000 EN & 9000 models where thin running lines or specialist euro nymph lines may be used. For over 150 years Hardy has been at the forefront of reel design and this newest addition is built to the same exacting standards and passion for innovation.

Design & Performance

The Averon features alightweight, high-performance disc dragsystem with an open frame design (excluding the 9000 & Euro models). The enclosed multi-pad disc drag system is silky smooth and equipped withultra-low start-up inertiafor a responsive and consistent experience. With a2.5 turn indexed drag, anglers can make quick and precise drag adjustments to suit any fishing scenario.

Drag System

Utilizing the same advanced drag system as its predecessor, the Ultradisc, the Averon offers an unregulated adjustment knob that allows you to fine-tune the drag to your preference. This system ensures low start-up inertia, maintaining the smooth performance Hardy reels are known for.

Half-Frame & Full-Cage Models

The Averon stands out with its availability in bothhalf-frame and full-cage models. The full-cage design is optimized for Euro nymphing, Spey fishing, and other long-leader applications, providing added versatility for anglers. Additionally, full-cage Euro nymph-specific models are offered, with interchangeable spools that allow you to mix and match with a single frame.

Large Arbor & Aesthetic

This reel boasts alarge-arbor design, reducing line memory and increasing retrieval rates. The Averon is available in two elegant color options: titanium with gold accents and black with gunmetal accents, ensuring both performance and style on the water.
