Slender Scat is a stickbait featuring a high-density material with a salt content of 40%. Despite its slender profile, the bait has a thick body that shimmies as it falls, creating a lifelike pulsing action. The heavy material and unique shape designed to create resistance allow for a great falling action that gets bites.
Each side of the bait has fin-like ribs that stabilize it as it falls and create a darting action. They also act like a keel, giving it a gliding action. The bulging tail section is heavier to increase casting distance. It also displaces water and adds to the overall appeal.
The Slender Scat excels when rigged on a weightless Texas-rig, but it can also be fished on a wacky rig, weighted Texas-rig, or jighead. Each way of rigging will work and give you options for vertical and horizontal falls.
