Description
A nice Charles Neuner bamboo fly rod, 7’9″, 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial 0921. The rod weighs 4 ounces on my scale. New, never used. Blonde cane with three up node pattern. Excellent varnish. The main wraps are transparent with tiny maroon edges, the carbide stripper is black as are the snake guides. The step ferrules are oxidized and fit snugly. The grip is composed of 1/4″ corks shaped to a slim cigar. The reel seat is an oxidized cap and ring. The cap is engraved with “Charles P. Neuner, Maker” in an oval cartouche. The seat is a nicely varnished specimen of West Coast Maple Burl. Chuck’s rods are very well done. The rod comes in a light brown cloth bag and a black painted aluminum tube with brass fittings.
