A rare Charlton 8400 .8 fly reel, 3″ diameter and set up for RHW. Mint unused condition. The reel weighs 9.2 ounces on my scale. .8″ spool width. Black anodized throughout with the typically bulletproof type III anodizing that Charlton reels are known for. Designed to hold a #4/5/6 line with 120+ yards of backing. The reel packs into a handsome leather case with “Charlton” embossed on the top, along with the original owner’s name, in this case Joe Garman, a dear friend to so many in the fine tackle world. A superb example of this scarce Charlton model that you rarely see on the market.
