Description

The Hareline Cyclops Bead Eyes range are a standard brass bead head made specifically for fly tying and is counter-drilled for easily sliding around the hook curve.
We love tying with these for a range of reasons. Firstly, brass is much tougher than tungsten and so will not get smashed about and leave you without a bead on your hook. They last. And whilst they add weight to your fly, brass beads dont hit the surface with as much force as tungsten so it doesnt spook the fish as easily.
Of course, if you want to achieve depth as quickly as possible in faster water, tungsten is the go. But fo most bead head nymph and streamer applications, brass beads to the job. And they catch fish.
Plus, you can run a pair of these off an indicator without the excessive weight dragging the indicator below the surface and causing you to miss strikes. Add weight, and a little flash, without lead and catch more fish!
