Description
“The Phoenix short series of rods are unique. The bamboo from which these rods are built came from the ashes of a devastating fire in 2017 that destroyed a bamboo rod building facility in Twin Bridges, Montana. After the fire, the few bamboo culms which made up these rods were discarded. These culms were later ‘rescued’. In 2024 a prototype rod was built to check the integrity of the cane. Having found that the prototype not only was a sweetheart to cast, the warm amber color along with the occasional ‘scorched’ darkened look was rather attractive. This formed the beginning of the Phoenix program. With nearly twenty years of experience in building some of the finest bamboo rods in the world, we are proud to pass on the beauty, functionality and history of the Phoenix rod to you!
