A new reel, based on Hanak’s favourite Suberb model. The Alpen has aunique closed cage design which prevents long nymphing leaders and nymphing lines from being pulled between the cage and the spool. Sensitive and reliable drag with a large comfortable adjustment knob.
Ultra-lightweight reel, machine-cut from one piece of top-quality 6061-grade aluminum.
Two ball-bearings combined with a one-way super-roller bearing.
The Alpen is a great fit for higher-weight nymphing rods: 3wt, 4 wt, 5 wt.
It also accommodates very nicely classic floating lines and is a great fit for 4 and 5 wt dry fly rods.
