Veniard Bead Tweezers

Description

Veniard Bead Tweezers are simply a must for any fly tyer who is tying bead head nymphs or streamers. These clever tweezers take the pain out of feeding the bead onto the hook and make the entire process fast and efficient. Veniard Bead Tweezers are reverse sprung, so they force themselves closed when not engaged, this means they will hold the bead in place without tension from your hand. You can place the tweezers on the bench and let go of them without the bead falling out.

The small circular indentations within the face of the tweezers allow the bead to sit firmly in position without shooting out under the tension of the arms. Furthermore, there is enough tension to hold the bead in place and stop it for rotating as you insert your hook point into the bead. Two models are available with different sized indentations. The Small size tweezers are ideal for little beads, up to around 7/64 or 1/8. The Large size tweezers will give you the best results with anything from 1/8 and larger.

I cannot believe I went so long without a pair of these on my desk, thousands of flies tied in a painful process that could have been so much simpler. They are simple, and they work. What more could you ask for?
