The Troutlore Deer Body Hair is just part of the process in continually strive to find the best fly tying materials for Australian fly tyers. We are sourcing quality Whitetail Deer from the US and painstakingly going through each hide to get only the best hair for our range. The result is three grades of deer body hair for a range of fly tying purposes that we are confident in offering to your guys.
After that, we end up with a LOT of quality hair that doesnt quite fit into one grade or another. Its all from the upper body section of the hide and is very usable deer hair. Its just the average stuff that cant be slotted into a strict category. So, were offering this to you guys because I know everyone loves a little extra deer hair. I use a lot of this stuff myself, when a specific hair for a specific task isnt needed. Im sure youll find plenty of uses for it too.
Each piece measures 2 inches by 3 inches.
Hair varies in length and colour depending on the patch.
