Description

A nice Ted Godfrey model 253 Classic fly reel, 2 1/2″ diameter and set up for LHW. Designed to hold a DT3 and 25 yds of backing. The reel weighs 4.4 ounces on my scale. Classic S-handle design. Excellent, lightly used condition with just a few touches of cosmetic wear here and there. Black sideplates with nickel silver rims and an aluminum spool and foot. A nice click and pawl drag that’s adjustable via a 5-position lever on the backplate. The reel comes in a brown suede leather pouch and includes paperwork noting the reel model, the serial number #305 (which is not marked on the reel itself) and the purchase date, which appears to be June of ’02. A nice classic bench made trout reel.
