As a company, we are always on the lookout for new and better technologies for our rods and line systems.In a quest to beef up our 8wt Pure Skagit rod, we stumbled upon a new graphite blend that had that wow factor we couldnt ignore.From this discovery the MS the second Micro Skagit generation of rods were born.
Featuring a crisper action and a new graphite technology, these rods still feature the action Ed Ward approved on the first generation.With a new down locking reel seat and reel seats components, this rod stands out.The rod also features new cork, as well as a full-well upper handle that allows for both single-hand and two-handed Skagit casting.We kept the REC Cericoil guides from our generation 1 rods to enhance rod flex and add durability.
