Description
An excellent Hardy Perfect wide drum salmon reel, 3 1/4″ diameter and set up for the usual RHW. A fine example of this hard to find size, it is in excellent original condition with nothing more than the minor cosmetic wear you’d expect from a reel of this age. No chips, cracks, or any other defects that I could find. The dark leaded finish is in great shape and the reel boasts a desirable nickel silver line guard. Duplicated Mark II check that’s nice and smooth. Full length ribbed brass foot. Ebonite handle. The tension adjuster works perfectly. Hardy reelmaker Jimmy Smith’s (1908-1960) initials are stamped on the inside of the winding plate. No bag.
