Description
A nice Edward Vom Hofe Model 423 Restigouche Salmon reel in 2/0 size. RHW. Philadelphia era model. 3 5/8″ diameter with a 1 3/16″ spool width. Lightly used condition with clean nickel silver frame and hard rubber sideplates. Minimal wear to the screws. Mechanically the reel feels very smooth and the drag is good throughout its 7 settings. “423” and “2/0” are marked on the underside of the foot crossbar, which has a little residue on it (though a little cleaning should do the trick) and the foot itself has a tiny bit of pitting here and there though nothing major. The reel packs into a suede zipper pouch for safekeeping and travel. A good size that would compliment smaller to mid-size spey rods nicely.
