I use Premium Gamakatsu Executive Series B10S hooks. They are super sharp and strong.

Polar Fiber synthetic hair has the undulating movement of Marabou feathers and because they are hydrophobic, they shed water on the backcast. You can fish these small streamers with a 5 weight setup.
These are great when targeting any Trout Bass Walleye Pike Stripers and Inshore saltwater species.

I am a firm believer in using a weedguard for most of my fishing. It allows me to cast to cover without concern of catching on wood, weeds and rocks. If fish are holding tight to cover , just fishing the edges might not be enough to draw them out. Casting directly into where they are holding gives you opportunities you normally wouldn’t have if you don’t have a weedguard.
