Description
A nice Bogdan Baby Trout reel, set up for RHW. 2 3/4″ diameter with a 3/4″ spool width. The reel appears to be unused, though there is a faint residual impression from a line sticker on the sideplate on the cranking side. Black sideplates (as is sometimes the case, they have a slight copper undertone to them) with a silver frame. The spool appears to be an ever-so-slightly warmer champagne color. The foot, serpentine handle, oil cap, and nameplate are silver. The sideplate and spool are both ventilated on the crank side. The backplate has the original owner’s name professionally engraved in a flowing script, along with an engraved caricature of Al Ellis, a well known figure in the Arizona fly fishing community, who, I am told, helped procure reels for friends and customers. Perfect mechanical condition with a fixed drag. No bag or pouch.
